Kirill has been studying traditional percussion instruments of the middle east for more than 15 years.
He developed a unique handpan style with new sounds and unusual grooves.
In this course he will share with you his cast repertoire of techniques and rhythms and some of his wonderful compositions that combine musical sensitivity with his technical virtuosity!
In Level 1, we will start with the very basics - how to create the various sounds on the instrument.
Soon you will put these sounds to use in musical pieces, starting slowly and working your way up.
Once you have a solid foundation, we will continue with subjects like ghost notes, arpeggios, Middle-Eastern rhythms and percussive sounds that you can integrate into your playing.
In the Level 2 course, we build on your existing skills and and dive deeper into the world of handpan, percussion and music in general.
Independence exercises will allow you to compose and improvise melodies in a structured way.
In the chords chapter you will build a repertoire of rhythmic patterns that allow you to turn any chord progression into a groovy sequence.
You will learn about odd metres and other unusual rhythms and towards the end of the course we start working on some advanced double stroke techniques and finish with the Afro-Cuban Floating Hand technique and some challenging breakbeat patterns.
If you already know what you’re doing on the handpan and want to progress to a professional level, this course is for you. We kick off with a technique checkup, to make sure that you don’t carry any bad habits with you.
Then we move on to advanced techniques and musical concepts to expand your range of expression on the instrument! Split-Hand and a variety of double stroke techniques will enable you to play fast rolls and patterns. We also tackle advanced musical topics such as how to create space in your music, polyrhythms and how to stay relaxed in fast tempo.

No matter where you are in your handpan journey, you will be able to use the ideas and concepts in this course to compose music on the handpan.
You will start from a groove, a pattern, a melody, a harmony and from an ostinato, learn about musical structure, phrasing and a little bit of music theory. Throughout the course you will follow a series of assignments and by then end you will have a repertoire of your own songs.
Nadishana is a unique musician and an absolute technical powerhouse on the instrument.

Raised by musician parents in France, at the age of 6, Michaël discovered his true passion: "Mum, Dad, I want to be a drummer!" Just a few months later, he fearlessly stepped onto a stage, facing hundreds of people, and mesmerized the audience with his drumming skills.
Having spent twelve years studying at music school, Michaël's hunger for knowledge and desire to explore other percussion instruments became insatiable. He embarked on a remarkable journey around the world, seeking out renowned teachers and engaging in jam sessions to expand his musical horizons.
Everywhere he traveled, he humbly learned from the best, skillfully incorporating his newfound knowledge into his own distinctive style. His unique approach involved blending classical music with the rhythms of African instruments, and fusing the beats of electronic drum and bass with the soulful sound of the handpan.
In Japan, he has earned the well-deserved title of "Groove Master," a testament to his exceptional talent and relentless dedication to his craft.
Amy is a handpan player, songwriter, percussionist and music practicioner from the UK.
The power of music and its ability to build connection between strangers, communities, nature, and the self is what drives Amy to travel and share her unique approach to creating sound. Knowing just how transformative and empowering the simple act of playing music together can be, Amy crafts her performances and workshops to create a space where this connection can blossom. She has a diverse repertoire of modern mantras, poignant but often playful songs, and uplifting melodies that are constantly evolving as she shifts from place to place.
She first learned to sing and drum as a child around festival campfires and as she grew to find her own voice, she quickly fell in love with the handpan, discovering it to be the perfect instrument for her vision. She has since become a familiar face in the global handpan community, offering workshops, tutorials and private tuition. She is a certified music educator through Trinity College London, with a background in therapeutic music and training in Taiko drumming.

Kirill Osherov has started his journey as a musician in 2010 taking workshops at the Labyrinth festival on Crete Island, Greece. While having ethnic percussion classes back in 2005 he saw the importance in exploring the tradition, went strait for the source and learned from the best. He soon had the opportunity to boost his skills with such masters as Pedram Khavarzamini, Zohar Fresko, Misirli Ahmet, and Aleix Tobias.
Soon after he became the sole percussionist in Russia to master the classical Iranian tombak. It is a remarkable instrument with a unique deep trace sound designed to showcase a refined technique of a skilled musician.
Later in 2016 Kirill begins a series of musical experiments with Hang drum to unleash his new talent in melody composition. This new musical avenue leads him into collaboration with Gennady Lavrentiev and Paata Chekaberia and Treugolnyy Son Project. It quickly evolves into a series of vibrant performances with intoxicating fusion of the World, Ethno and Jazz styles. The Treugolnyy Son had an initial kick off at the LevelDva, the Russian Chillrave label and now proclaims to be one of the most innovative styles in the live music scene.

David Kuckhermann is a Grammy nominated and world renowned handpan player and percussionist based in Berlin, Germany. His musical teaching methods are based on more than 20+ years of playing and professional teaching experience.

Nadishana (Siberia - Berlin) is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and designer of experimental musical instruments.
He's an innovator in the field of contemporary ethnic music and one of the musicians who are shaping and developing the culture of melodic finger percussion (handpan, rav).
The use of odd meters, polyphony, 'split hand' technique, progressive harmonies, complex articulation - are characteristic features of Nadishana's original style.
He elaborated the unique playing technique on each of his instruments and his own approach to advanced digital audio editing called "sound microsurgery".
In 1990 along with studying in Sankt-Petersburg V. Nadishana began his self-education in playing guitar. Then he became seriously interested in ethnic music and mastered himself other instruments: sitar, mandola, chanzy, bouzouki, jew's harp, kou xiang, khomus, morsing, ethnic percussion (tongue drums, hang, udu, frame drums, berimbao etc); winds (bansuri, quena, overtone flutes, kalyuka, zhaleyka, gayda, hu-lu-si, bawu, tsaaj nplaim), fretless bass. Besides he has created some experimental musical instruments: dzuddahord, darbudu, pruzhingum, plastrimbaphon, rablorrum, ghostcatcher, pin-sansa, rod-spring gamelan, banbang etc.
